Nestled within the Domaine du Moulin, the gourmet restaurant "La Villa du Meunier" embodies the essence of refined cuisine that honours local and seasonal products. Labelled "Master Restaurateurs", the chef and his brigade are committed to offering elegant gastronomy, where each bite opens on a culinary journey full of delicious flavours.
THE HISTORY OF THE DOMAINE DU MOULIN
It all starts in 2004. Céline and Edmond Landwerlin, and their cousin Mélanie buy in Ensisheim the "Hass" house that belonged to the former miller, abandoned for many years...
It is in these places that they will write a new page in the history of their family, historically Alsatian. Transformation work has followed one another over the years.
The former miller's house transformed into a restaurant, seminar room and service housing between 2005 and 2006.
At the same time, the hotel, spa and underground parking are built in the garden. 2011 sees the restaurant and hotel buildings connected; 2012 is dedicated to the renovation of the restaurant rooms of the old villa. In 2015, in addition to the expansion of the breakfast rooms, the Domaine du Moulin has an outdoor swimming pool with a large terrace.
In 2017, the establishment celebrates its 10th anniversary, then the year 2020 sees the arrival of a wood boiler room to improve comfort and energy performance. In 2021, opening of the Instan'T Gourmand tea parlour pastry shop. In 2022, a new outdoor jacuzzi is created, as well as the renovation of the reception of the bar and lounges. In 2023, part of the restaurant's rooms were redesigned, and new suites were created in Villa Meunier.
